Welcome to Wet Paint Classroom! I am an art teacher, mother of boy/girl twins, and an Etsy shop owner (wetpaintbykrista.etsy.com). I am going into my fourteenth year of teaching art and I love what I do. I have taught all grade levels but currently teaching k-5 which is my favorite because I get to see them go from barely able to write their name to amazing!

 I like trying out new things in the classroom and figuring out what works and doesn't work as well as trying to get the most out of my students. I also want my classroom to be positive and fun not intimidating. Art doesn't have a clear cut right answer so I think the art room should be filled with "let's try this" not "I can't". I want to give my students instruction for the process but leave it open ended enough that they can demonstrate their own personalities and creativity.

I love a good quote so this is one that I use a lot and is from Walt Disney (what kid doesn't like Disney?!)

Look forward to getting back in my classroom next week to get ready for a new school year. I will post pictures of my art room soon.
